SALVADOR DALI FORGERIES
As all the great Artists, Salvador Dali was the victim of forgeries on certain of his works. No more, no less than the other Artist opposite to a strong public believe (all what concerns Salvador Dali was always subject to publicity).We, as publishers, were also sometimes the victims of fraudulent practices on some of the 180 different subjects we published. The major sources of fraudulent Dali's works were hopefully stoped over the years. But before those legal actions, some of those fraudulent works were commercialized to the public so some still exist in private or "professional" hands. As the web is now a wonderfull way to inform worldwide collectors and in order to prevent potential future victims, you will find below the photos of some fake etchings or drawings detected over the years on certain of our editions. You will remark that certain are very pale copies easy to detect, some were more sofisticated.
